Air-Activated
Tube Tester
Model 5373
 |
Our
Model 5373 Air Activated Tube Tester is designed to test entire
length of tube (from tube sheet to tube sheet) for leaks. Uses
air pressure, up to 125 PSI, a press of the air valve, expands
seals on both injection and plugging guns, and pressurizes tube.
Requires a minimum of physical effort.
Tube Testing
Kit includes: air injection gun, plugging gun, compression
tubes, and seals for one specific tube size. |
Tube Plugs
Torq'N
Seal
High Pressure Tube Plugs
Until
now, the sealing capacity of Torq'N Seal plugs has always been
limited to the maximum torque output of a 1/4 inch drive extension.
Now, by utilizing the TORX Drive System, the Torq'N Seal tube Plug
can be installed at a considerably higher torque value thereby
achieving a much greater sealing capacity. For example the T45
TORX Drive will produce approximately two times the torque as an
equivalent 1/4 inch square drive.
 |
- Positive
sealing in excess of 6500 PSI is achieved without special
tooling
- Plug can
be inserted to any depth of the tube sheet in order to avoid
severely corroded areas on the tube sheet face
- Design
enables rapid implantation and fit into tight areas adjacent
to the tube sheet/ shell joint interface, baffle plates and
internal dividers
- One piece
design enhances sealing characteristics by eliminating second
potential leak path common to design found in two piece plugs
- Torq'N
Seal Plugs available to meet nuclear QA specification 10CFR501
Appendix B, ANSI 45.2.

Tapered

|
Ideal
for sealing leaky tubes in condensers or heat exchangers. Just
drive a plug into each end of leaky tube.
Note: puncture the tube to ensure that pressure can
not build up in the tube and cause the plugs to loosen or blow
out. |
Two-Piece

|
For
sealing off leaky condenser and heat exchanger tubes without damaging
tube sheets. Tapered pin is driven into ring, which is tapered
on the inside and is parallel to tube on the outside. This gives
even expansion to the ring and a long contact to the seal. Available
in a variety of metals.
How to Use the Elliott Tube Plug:
Place correct size ring in tube. (Order by Tube O.D. and Gage.) Insert
pin in ring and tap lightly until ring is seated. |
